Cobh’s waterside park, known locally as The Prom, comes to life every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer.

On Saturdays the Cobh Farmer’s Market has stallholders selling local produce and tasty treats from 9.30am. Buskers often pop in, but there’s guaranteed music on the bandstand from 12.30 every Saturday.

Most Sundays until September have a Sunday Market. Cobh Trad Fest on 27th July, Cobh People’s Regatta on 17th August and the Cobh Prom Sunday Market see local crafters, tasty food stalls, Kiddie’s activities and live music in a waterside setting perfect for picnics and chilling make for great summer Sundays.

To finish the day’s musical entertainment why not stroll up to the Garden of Reflection at St. Colman’s Cathedral and listen to Ireland’s largest musical instrument – the 49 bell Carillon high up in the spire? Recitals last one hour – a large screen inside the Cathedral doors allows you to see the Carillonneur playing on the keyboard/pedalboard.
