The 2016 Cobh St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Thursday March 17^th and See You in Cobh, Cobh Tourism and Cobh Tidy Towns have again join forces to organise this year’s Parade.

The Parade will start on the Low Road by Cobh Heritage Centre at 3.30 pm.

Participation is open to individuals, groups, associations, companies, businesses and sports clubs from all around Cork Harbour and we encourage as many as possible to enter this year’s Parade and help us to match the success of recent years.

All participants in the Cobh Parade are invited to embrace the theme “Long Live Éire: 1916 – 2016”. Consider reflecting on Ireland in 1916 and the 100 years since then. Think of all aspects of Irish history and culture and the changes witnessed since the formative years of an Independent Ireland. Decorate Floats and vehicles and create imaginative costumes for the occasion and join in the fun!

To encourage maximum participation there will once again be no entry fee for entries received up to and including the 10^th March. THERE WILL BE A LATE ENTRY FEE for entries received after 10^th March of €50. Timely return of entry forms will allow the organisers to plan the running order of the parade and to post the running order on visitcobh.com in advance of the parade which will assist everyone. All late entries will be at the back of the parade.

There will be prizes for the Best Commercial and Best Non Commercial Entries and the perpetual trophy will be presented to the Best Overall Entry.
