I wanna go home……back to the home of my ancestors, back to Ireland, how quaint was this special place called Cobh. I fell in love instantly, even though it was raining and cold (16c), however, we Aussies did take credit for the sunshine in the late afternoon.
On 11th April 1912, Queenstown was the final port of call for the Titanic as she set out across the Atlantic on her maiden voyage. The tragedy of the sinking of the Titanic is commemorated each year by Cobh Tourism. The 2010 commemmoration will take place on Sunday 11th April at 2.30pm.
