Cork County Council Policy on Licencing of Street Furniture

Cork County Council have issued a draft policy on the licencing and fees involved with the licencing of Street Furniture throughout the County. It can be read by clicking Draft Policy on Street Furniture. If adopted it will have consequences for many businesses in Cobh.

One requirement is that 1.8 m of pavement must remain free for pedestrians if tables and chairs are to be permitted outside a bar or restaurant. These photographs show what that means in Casement Square.20170311_073058 20170311_073111

Please read the draft document and contact your County Councillor as soon as possible to have your say on how this will affect your business, before it’s too late.
