Super Liner Crown Princess visit to Cobh

The first of four Cruise liner visits to Cobh this week, the magnificient Cruise Liner Crown Princess will be berthed at the quayside in Cobh all day on Tuesday 24th May and will sail at 6 pm. Trains will run every 30 minutes on the Cobh Cork line in each direction. Built in 2006 this spectacular ship is 951 feet long, weighs 116,000 tonnes, has 4 outdoor swimming pools and has 16 passenger decks.

It has a “Movies under the Stars” cinema, three 500 seat restaurants and a running track that circles the ship – three laps equal one mile!! At the stern of the ship there is a glass walled disco called “Skywalkers”. The Princess Theatre spans two decks and boasts over $3 million worth of sound and light equipment and a 9 piece orchestra.

This is the first of three visits to Cobh of the Crown Princess this summer. It will visit again on 26th July and 18th August each time on a twelve night British Isles Cruise from Southampton.
