2011 Cruise Liner List unveiled

The Port of Cork has announced the 2011 Cruise Liner list.  There are many  highlights  for enthuasists of Cruise Liners. The May Bank Holiday weekend will see the Celebrity Eclipse arrive on Saturday and stay overnight. It will sail on Sunday afternoon and will be replaced by the Independence of the Seas which will stay on Sunday and sail at 6 pm on Bank Holiday Monday. The Celebrity Eclipse will return again on another overnight visit later in the week.

Holland America Line makes a welcome return to the harbour with the Rotterdam making two visits and the Maasdam and Prinsendam one visit each. It is 40 years since the Holland America Line stopped its regular Trans-Atlantic service.

The Dawn Princess returns on 24th July as a part of its World Cruise from Sydney to Sydney. See You In Cobh is already planning the second Australia Day in Cobh which was a great success in 2009.

The magnificent Crown Princess will visit three times on “Grand Adventue” and round British Isles Cruises that take on passengers in Southampton.

The three Cunard Queens will also visit, with the Queen Victoria calling twice. Unfortunately the new Queen Elizabeth on its maiden visit is scheduled for Ringaskiddy. Perhaps HRH Queen Elizabeth II will come to Cobh instead and follow in the footsteps of her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria.
